Planning for Rak Chazak Amats
If you are planning to join us for Covenant Ranch Ministries Rak Chazak Amats gathering, here is some important information you need to know. It will help you plan and answer your questions.
Everyone over 6 needs to register for the event. 6-9 year old is $10 and 10 years and older is $25. Tickets are non-refundable. No childcare will be provided for kids 5 and under.
June 15th, 2017 is the deadline to register, with a $10 late fee per person after that date. In all cases, your registration is not confirmed until full payment has been received.

in nearby Colorado City (located about 30 miles south):

You will need to make your own reservations.
If you are camping either in a tent or an RV, please prepare for varied weather conditions. The last part of June will be cool at night and in the mornings yet hot during the day. Bring adequate clothing and blankets, including rain gear for the occasional thunderstorm.
Ages for Children and Youth Programs
There will be teaching for children 6 years and over, however, they need to be registered so we can plan for our Toddler classes and purchase the necessary items for the program. We encourage your children to participate in the Erev Shabbat Service (Friday Night Praise and Worship).
Junior Youth ages 11–13 have a Hebraic Dance program suited to their age group should they choose to participate.
We have a NO tolerance policy toward pets. There will be no pets in the Coliseum, including leaving your pet in your vehicle. Service animals are the general exception. We recommend making arrangements for your pet to stay at home. For your convenience, we are including information for a local boarding kennel: West Texas Animal Clinic • (325) 573–8586.
No Early Arrivals Policy
We do not want attendees in the camp before or after the Event. As you can imagine those persons who are part of the set-up or take-down crews are the only ones exempt from this policy and you will be a hindrance to them (see Volunteer list).
There are many opportunities to serve the LORD and your brethren at Rak Chazak Amats. We ask that every able-bodied adult or youth attending the Event volunteer in one or more areas. Thank you for indicating your area of service either on the web registration or by including the volunteer slip with your mail‑in registration.
Event Set-up and Tear-down
Please only sign up for this if you are able to come at least 1 day early to arrive at the Coliseum by 8:00am. You must contact the Covenant Ranch Ministries office for this much needed volunteer area. If you are not on the approved list then you will not be allowed into the camp early or stay later.
All parents of children in the program must volunteer several times throughout the weekend to assist our Children’s Program Team. No special talents are required. Our Team Leaders will contact you in advance.
Looking for a few folks committed to help maintain the coffee pots and assist the Team Lead as needed. This is a great opportunity for those with the gift of hospitality.
Your $25.00 registration fee supplies the meal for Oneg, the lunch meal during Shabbat. This meal is catered by Torah Observant Believers who will serve only Kosher meals. Please specify Food Prep, Cook, Serve, and/or Cleanup. A lot of help is needed at each of the evening meals. You will be contacted by the Team Lead.
This team makes our speakers’ accommodations welcoming. This includes prepping with supplies and cleaning to welcome the next speaker, depending on the schedule.
Doctors, nurses, or EMTs who would like to assist with triage are needed. If you volunteer in this area, you will be contacted by our medical team lead in advance of Rak Chazak Amats.
Security is a vital part of our camp. We ask that all able-bodied men volunteer in this area who possess a licensed to carry permit, military and/or law enforcement experience.
